The Jordanian army said it intercepted four Iranian missiles on Wednesday, while two others fell in an open area, as Tehran pressed its attacks across the region.
In a later statement, the army said it had also downed four drones coming from Iran.
"Air defence systems today detected six missiles coming from Iranian territory," the army said in a statement, adding that it "intercepted and downed four missiles, while the other two fell in two remote, uninhabited areas, without causing any human casualties or material damage".
Iran's Revolutionary Guards later said their aerospace force had launched a fresh attack on US bases in Jordan.
They claimed "several deaths and injuries" resulting from a strike on housing for US forces, and that two US military helicopters were "severely damaged".
The Guards added that missiles and drones also targeted "an F-15 preparation hangar and a drone preparation hangar" at the King Faisal and Prince Hassan air bases.
The claims could not be independently verified.
